It’s almost really Spring!

Spring Convention season has started off GREAT!

My first show of the season was wonderful. The hearse and trunk worked just as I hoped they would. The people were fantastic. I can’t wait until the next one! I updated the list a bit. I added some shows that finally confirmed dates and took out one of the possible April dates because it doesn’t look like the Spring festival I hoped to attend is going to happen this year. Maybe next year, or maybe something new will pop up! I *may* also start incorporating some markets or festivals around Peculiar, but some of the ones this year conflict with comic shows I had already booked… I WILL be attending some events in Peculiar in a different capacity – the Peculiar Parks Foundation is back up and running! Look for me at some fun events for kids and families around town this Spring and Summer! Check out the Foundation’s socials to see where we will be popping up. I also probably won’t be adding anything to the schedule in November after TyWe Collector’s Expo, because I am trying to go to Arizona for the Jackson Earth Project’s next tree-planting event (you know those post cards I have been spreading all over the County?). We hope to plant 1000 trees this year!

Spring is always busy and this year is no exception. I am also finishing up the remodel on my vegetable garden. I say “finishing up” but really the entire garden is always in need of something. What I am actually doing is the 2nd half of replacing my cedar beds with galvanized steel beds. Tiered, staggered, built into the hill… 13 down, 10 to go on the perimeter. In April I hope to start planting there and work on redoing the interior beds. Maybe next Spring I will have plants and herbs at the Peculiar Farmers and Artisans Market in addition to art and comics.

Speaking of COMICS (Way to keep on subject, Ginny. Sorry, I am easily distracted by plants!) I have updates on the book!! I have finished penciling in the characters and I worked ahead to fit the lettering in (yes I work a little backwards sometimes, but I needed to see how it would fit together). Now I am working on all of the backgrounds and detailed drawings of the plants and equipment… It is coming along nicely. If I keep to my schedule of working outside on the garden in the morning and working on the book in the afternoon, we should have more updates soon! I hope you all like it. We have more planned for this collaboration and another possible collaborator lined up… it may be a while before I can go back to working on the web series, but that just gives me more time to make it better!

Check out my schedule and come see me somewhere this spring! Follow me on socials to see what other fun adventures I am getting into. I love you all and appreciate your continued support! If you can’t make it to a show, but want to show me some love, maybe BuyMeACoffee? I still appreciate you, either way!
