Some updates, website woes – and NEWS!
First – my bad. I started to write this post on 12/12/2025….. but there must have been a few updates to various plugins that didn’t agree with each other. I was unable to type anything in a post, and am having issues with my image gallery as well. It appears that it is showing up correctly on the page, but my end is a mess. I finally learned how to manage NextGen and they changed it to Imagely, which is not working at all. Or maybe it doesn’t like SiteOrigin. I had to deactivate all of the SO plugins temporarily to write this post. The problem is that all of the pages on my website are built with SO Pagebuilder and if I try to edit them now, they will also break. If anyone knows how to help, please reach out. I may have to start over and completely rebuild the site, and I really don’t have time for that… because…
Progress on the book is going well. I wish I could show you some previews, but those updates are going to have to wait until closer to publication/printing date. When will that be? I still don’t have an answer for you on that one. I am trying to keep all of the balls in the air – commissions, the book, adding new shows to my schedule, updating ComicConventionList.com with our local shows, actually making it to artist meetups in KC and maybe Springfield… but all of those things are building momentum and fueling each other. I just ordered my new prints for this year, and the number is 12! Twelve brand new prints available to you from me at shows. There is something for everyone – Gargoyles, Alien and Predator, and of course BOTS! Lots of Bots! I even had to buy more file folders to hold them all. I am trying out a new trunk to carry all of my things, but it is heavy! We will see if it works at the mini-con at the library on February 21st. I love that this show is close and small for the first one of the year, so I can test new things before the big out-of-town shows start up! I had a great time there last year and it gets me excited and ready for a new season!!
All right, so, for now you will have to keep an eye on my social media to get updates about show dates. My home page will continue to say that I am “taking a break to work on the book” until I can find a way/time to get everything updated. I usually try to keep the next few appearances on the “bio” of my socials, so you don’t have to dig for a post. I just got some really great news as I am writing this, so let’s all keep our spirits high and hope for an amazing 2026! As soon as I figure out how to deal with these website issues…. That can wait; now, I have to go book my hotel for a 3-day show coming up!
